🤔 What people are saying about content marketing in employer branding isn't quite right...
Have you heard much talk about content marketing for employer branding recently?
I've noticed an increase in the last 12 months - I've been a big advocate of it for years [and it's the reason I finally set up the Content Marketing Pod Ltd over 3 years ago ❤️️]
So whenever I see a post or video or podcast episode about it I jump on it like an over-eager puppy - "Yes! someone else thinks the same way!"...
...but when I dive into the detail I'm left disheartened, but also motivated...
You see, when people talk about content marketing for employer branding they're really just talking about the creation of content and the channels they sit on.
💬 Create stories that add "value" - aka the value is our job [!]
💬 Create a blog about the employee experience
💬 Create a podcast about people's roles at a company
💬 Make sure content is shared across your channels
But that's not true content marketing in my opinion.
